A visit to my office is a healing experience. Hopefully, our interaction will lead my patients to enhance their lifestyle with healthy choices.
I like spending a lot of time with people in my office. Besides patiently listening to someone’s concerns, I enjoy teaching about being healthy and the nature of illness. I want people to know how to pursue total well-being and how to prevent medical problems.
The goal is to live a healthy life.

Lyme Disease is often associated with other infections and deficiencies. These are called “co-morbidities.” Prominent among the infections are a parasite called Babesiosis and a bacterium called Ehrlichiosis. Both of these diseases are transmitted by tick bites and are often, though not usually, associated with Lyme Disease.
The most common deficiencies are Vitamin B12 and Magnesium. These can be a problem even with normal levels in the blood. The best way to know is the response to injection of either of these substances.
Victims of Lyme Disease are more susceptible to common infections:
- Overgrowth of yeast, leading to the yeast syndrome, is seen often in this context. The treatment involves many aspects of healing that we will need to discuss.
- Activation of latent Herpes Virus (Chickenpox and Epstein-Barr are examples) leads to greater malaise and other symptoms. These may respond to anti-viral therapy.
- What are termed “atypical bacterial infections” frequently affect people with Lyme Disease. These include Mycoplasma, Legionnaires’ disease, and various Chlamydiae. These are treated with antibiotics.
Awareness of these complications is critical to the treatment of Lyme Disease.
